What you provide
Payment – First, we need you to complete and submit your Client Profile Questionnaire for each room we will be designing for you. Then head to the Order now page, choose the rooms you want designed, the number of design options you’d like for each room, and submit your payment. Payment can be made either online by credit card, or you can mail us a cheque.
If you choose to pay by credit card you will be taken to PayPal’s secure server to make your payment. You do not need a PayPal account for purchases under $2000. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please download and print the Pay by Cheque form, fill it out and send it in with your payment.
Once your order has been placed and payment received we will contact you about how to submit all of the additional information we require. If we have any questions or need further details we will be in touch either by email or by phone.
Completed client profile questionnaire – Take time to fill out the client profile questionnaire. This is how we get to know you, so the more detail you provide the better. While some of the questions may not seem relevant, they provide us with important insight into your personality and lifestyle – information we need to create a design you’ll love.
Room measurements – We need to have measurements for each of the rooms we’ll be designing for you. Since our designs are based on your measurements, this is where your job as a do-it-yourselfer begins. But don’t worry… you won’t be left on your own. We’ve provided a step-by-step guide on how to sketch and measure your rooms. You can download the guide in printable PDF format, and use our specially designed grid paper to make the job as easy as possible. We’ll also provide email or phone support if you run into any trouble while measuring.
Photos – Email us photos of the room to be designed, as well as shots of things in your home (or your neighbour’s home) that you love. Take some overall shots of the room, then take detail shots that show all the walls, doors, windows, built-ins and any other elements we should see. Make sure all your photos are clearly labeled so we know exactly what we’re looking at. If you don’t
have a digital camera don’t worry. You can also send us prints
in the mail.
Inspiration – Send us magazine clippings, tear sheets, photos, fabric samples and anything else you’ve been saving. (Don’t
worry – we’ll send them back!) If you haven’t clipped a thing,
now’s your time to start. Flip through some magazines, tear out what you like, and let us know why. If there’s something you don’t like, you can show us that too (just make sure it’s clearly labeled).
